Default Error with tutorial for new players.

I know I just recently (very recently) started playing the game, but there's an issue with the tutorial that I believe will discourage a lot of players.

In the tutorial, you are asked to select and attack a rebel base that is close to your city/fortification. However, as I understand it, rebel bases have been dramatically increased in their overall unit counts. Through the tutorial, it says to select some troops (not all, giving the player anywhere from 10-50 troops) and attack an enemy encampment (525 troops strong). In doing the tutorial, I lost 26 troops in my attack (even with the extra units you're given as part of the mission) while doing no damage to the enemy.

I also understand that all rebel bases are 525 units strong (or so I am led to believe). To me this seems slightly absurd so set a high unit count for rebel bases and lead a new player to believe that they are capable of attacking them for resources.

Another issue that I believe might be a slight oversight is the rewards for completing the quests post tutorial. In increasing a building's level, you're given from 5-15 resources for completing the building. This is dramatically offset, however, due to the increased build times that just went into effect. To build a resource building to level 3 takes almost 40 minutes, while only receiving around 20 total resources for completing the task.

So as to the first issue, rebel bases, I have the following proposal. Set up a standardized unit count for each rebel base, and follow that by having varying levels of rebel bases. Also change the tutorial to include this information and send a new player towards a level 1 rebel base, located close to that players fortification.

Level 1: 25 total units (of 1 type)
Level 2: 65 total units (of 1 type)
Level 3: 135 total units (of varying types here-after)
Level 4: 280 total units
Level 5: 525 total units (as current rebel bases are equipped)
Level 6: 920 total units
Level 7: 1550 total units
Level 8: 2400 total units
Level 9: 4200 total units
Level 10: 6500 total units

Each level rebel base will give a proportionate number of materials as rewards, with the higher tier rebel bases giving materials and gold as a reward.

Just my day 1 suggestion.

Lightbulb

In actuality losing 26 troops is not that bad. Also not all rebel bases have the same number of units, and 525 isn't that hard to overpower. Look at your report and find out what troops you need to counter some rebel troops. You can find out what county profileers what by looking in the help under attacking. Inside that outline it will tell you what counters what.
