I have heard many, many complaints on the change on building times to make them longer.

I think there are 2 things that could be done and if done together, would make people a lot more at ease with the times.
First, get the free daily gold going. That would help to shorten many of the longer builds.
Second, adding an extra build queue so that more things could be happening at once. It is going to get to the point where without gold you will only be able to do 1 thing per day which would get very boring. If you increased the normal build queue capacity to 2 and the foreman to give 3 or maybe 4, things would be more interesting, especially if you added the free daily gold to that.
Combining those two would make the game more interesting and quicker even with the longer times, in my opinion.

Make another Foreman available. If you have the 30 gold to hire one then you could have 2 more build slots. Game Developers should like this idea as this would encourage folks to Buy gold... edit to add another idea; Add another Architect or some other Type, Master Builder or something that would give something like 25% reduction in build times..
